Völklinger Hütte – UNESCO‑Weltkulturerbe der Industriegeschichte

Die Völklinger Hütte im Saarland ist ein historisches Eisenwerk und zählt seit 1994 zum UNESCO‑Weltkulturerbe. Sie gilt als einzigartiges Zeugnis der Industriekultur des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts und ist heute ein Museum, das Technik, Industriegeschichte und Kunst unter einem Dach vereint.

Das Werksgelände umfasst zahlreiche historische Hochöfen, Maschinenhallen und Werkstätten, die den gesamten Produktionsprozess von Eisen anschaulich dokumentieren. Völklinger Hütte – UNESCO World Heritage Site of Industrial History

The Völklinger Hütte in Saarland is a historic ironworks and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. It is considered a unique testimony of the industrial culture of the 19th and 20th centuries and today functions as a museum combining technology, industrial history, and art under one roof.

The site includes numerous historic blast furnaces, machine halls, and workshops that clearly document the entire iron production process. Particularly impressive are the huge industrial facilities, giving visitors insight into the working conditions and technologies of the time.

In addition to its industrial history, the Völklinger Hütte offers temporary exhibitions, events, and cultural activities. With its industrial charm and monumental facilities, it attracts thousands of visitors each year and is one of the most important attractions in Saarland.
