Gallipoli – Stadt am Golf von Tarent

Gallipoli liegt in Apulien in der Provinz Lecce am Golf von Tarent und hat rund 20.000 Einwohner (Stand 2019).

Die Stadt besteht aus der historischen Altstadt (Centro Storico) und dem Borgo, der Neustadt. Die Altstadt befindet sich auf einer Felseninsel und ist durch eine Brücke mit dem Festland verbunden.

Gallipoli – Town on the Gulf of Taranto

Gallipoli is located in Apulia, in the province of Lecce, on the Gulf of Taranto, and has around 20,000 inhabitants (as of 2019).

The town consists of the historic old town (centro storico) and the borgo, the newer part of the city. The old town is situated on a rocky island and is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
