Recanati – Stadt auf dem Hügel in den Marken

Recanati ist eine italienische Stadt mit rund 21.000 Einwohnern in der Provinz Macerata in der Region Marken (Mittel-Ostitalien) und Sitz eines Bischofs.

Die Stadt liegt etwa 30 Kilometer südlich von Ancona und rund 10 Kilometer von der Adriaküste entfernt. Der Hafen Porto Recanati bildet den Zugang zum Meer.

Die Altstadt erstreckt sich auf einem 278 Meter hohen Hügelrücken zwischen den Flusstälern des Potenza und des Musone. Von hier eröffnen sich weite Blicke über die sanfte Hügellandschaft der Marken bis hin zur Adria.

Recanati – Hilltop Town in the Marche Region

Recanati is an Italian town with around 21,000 inhabitants in the province of Macerata in the Marche region of central-eastern Italy and is the seat of a bishop.

The town lies about 30 kilometers south of Ancona and roughly 10 kilometers from the Adriatic coast. The nearby harbor town of Porto Recanati provides access to the sea.

The historic center stretches along a ridge 278 meters above sea level, between the valleys of the Potenza and Musone rivers. From here, wide views open across the rolling hills of the Marche landscape toward the Adriatic Sea.
