Casablanca – Metropole am Atlantik

Casablanca („das weiße Haus“) ist mit rund 3,2 Millionen Einwohnern die größte Stadt Marokkos. Sie liegt südlich der Hauptstadt Rabat direkt an der Atlantikküste und ist das wirtschaftliche Zentrum des Landes.

Die bedeutendste Sehenswürdigkeit ist die Hassan-II.-Moschee. Sie bietet Platz für etwa 25.000 Gläubige und zählt zu den größten Moscheen der Welt. Ihr 210 Meter hohes Minarett ist das höchste religiöse Bauwerk der Welt.

Casablanca – Metropolis on the Atlantic

Casablanca (“the white house”) is Morocco’s largest city, with around 3.2 million inhabitants. Located south of the capital Rabat on the Atlantic coast, it serves as the country’s economic center.

The city’s main landmark is the Hassan II Mosque. It can accommodate about 25,000 worshippers and is among the largest mosques in the world. Its 210-meter minaret is the tallest religious structure worldwide.
