Lake Hawea

Lake Hawea ist ein Gletschersee in der Region Otago auf der Südinsel Neuseelands, etwa 15 Kilometer nordöstlich von Wanaka.

Der See erstreckt sich über eine Länge von rund 35 Kilometern und liegt eingebettet zwischen den Ausläufern der majestätischen Südalpen.

Die klare Wasseroberfläche, das weite Ufer und die umliegenden Berge schaffen eine eindrucksvolle, oft fast stille Landschaft, die je nach Licht und Wetter immer wieder ihr Gesicht verändert.

Lake Hawea

Lake Hawea is a glacial lake in the Otago region on New Zealand’s South Island, about 15 kilometres northeast of Wanaka.

The lake stretches approximately 35 kilometres in length and is surrounded by the majestic Southern Alps, offering impressive views and a stunning natural backdrop.

Its clear waters, wide shores and dramatic mountain scenery create a landscape that feels both vast and peaceful, constantly changing with light and weather.
