Salzburg – Mozartstadt an der Salzach

Salzburg ist eine Stadt im Westen Österreichs nahe der Grenze zu Deutschland am Rand der Ostalpen. Durch die Stadt fließt die Salzach.

Am linken Ufer liegt die historische Altstadt, deren enge Gassen und Plätze von Gebäuden aus dem Mittelalter und dem Barock geprägt sind. Viele Bereiche sind als Fußgängerzone gestaltet.

Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Flusses erstreckt sich die Neustadt, die überwiegend im 19. Jahrhundert entstand.

In der Altstadt befindet sich auch das Geburtshaus des Komponisten Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, das heute ein Museum ist und unter anderem Instrumente aus seiner Kindheit zeigt. (Quelle: Google)

Salzburg – Mozart’s city on the Salzach

Salzburg is a city in western Austria, close to the German border at the foot of the Eastern Alps. The Salzach River flows through the centre of the city.

On the left bank lies the historic Old Town, with narrow streets and buildings dating from the Middle Ages and the Baroque period. Large parts of the area are pedestrian zones.

On the opposite side of the river extends the New Town, which mainly developed during the 19th century.

The birthplace of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is located in the Old Town. Today it houses a museum displaying instruments from his childhood and other historical items. (Source: Google)
