Steinplatte – Aussichtsgipfel in den Chiemgauer Alpen

Die Steinplatte ist ein 1869 Meter hohes Bergmassiv in den Chiemgauer Alpen in Österreich.

Über den Gipfel verläuft die Grenze der beiden Bundesländer Salzburg und Tirol.

Nach Süden bricht der Berg in markante Felswände ab, während die Nordseite deutlich sanfter ausläuft.

Diese Nordseite ist durch mehrere Liftanlagen gut erschlossen und wird sowohl im Winter für den Skisport als auch im Sommer für Wanderungen und Ausflüge genutzt. (Quelle: Wikipedia)

Steinplatte – scenic summit in the Chiemgau Alps

The Steinplatte is a mountain massif in the Chiemgau Alps in Austria with an elevation of 1869 metres.

The summit forms the border between the Austrian federal states of Salzburg and Tyrol.

Towards the south the mountain drops steeply into impressive rock faces, while the northern side slopes down more gently.

The northern side is developed with several lift facilities and is used for skiing in winter and for hiking and outdoor activities in summer. (Source: Wikipedia)
