Krakau – historische Königsstadt in Südpolen

Krakau (polnisch Kraków), die Hauptstadt der Woiwodschaft Kleinpolen, liegt im Süden von Polen etwa 350 km südwestlich von Warschau.

Mit rund 760.000 Einwohnern ist Krakau die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landes und zählt zu den bedeutendsten kulturellen Zentren Polens.

Die historische Altstadt mit dem großen Marktplatz, dem Wawel-Schloss und zahlreichen Kirchen gehört seit 1978 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe und zieht Besucher aus aller Welt an.

Kraków, the capital of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, is located in southern Poland, about 350 km southwest of Warsaw.

With around 760,000 inhabitants, Kraków is the second-largest city in Poland and one of the country's most important cultural centers.

The historic Old Town, with its large market square, Wawel Castle and numerous churches, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978 and attracts visitors from all over the world.
